Hi Meine Estrella läuft seit gestern,nachdem sie 3 Wochen gestanden hat schlecht.Sie knallt ,spuckt und hustet bem Fahren,im Stand geht sie aus.Ich habe die Ventile eingestellt,den Unterdruckschlauch am Tank geprüft,die Zündkerze gereinigt.Nichs.Dann habe ich festgestellt,dass der Choke am Vergaser nicht ganz einzuschieben ist.Der kleine schwarz Knopf steht ca.1cm vom Gehäuse wenn er eingeschoben ist.Ist das normal oder muss er noch weiter rein ?Ich habe mal Fotos angehängt.

Hab grade bei meiner Estrella nachgeschaut.
Da schaut des genauso aus wie bei dir.
Und meine steht jetzt schon länger unberührt
im Stall. Also der Choke ist nicht gezogen und
es schaut genauso aus wie bei Dir.

Choke looks just the same as mine which works fine. I find it odd that on starting with choke the engine runs at a rather high revs which I allow it to do for about a minute. I then push the choke in and leave it to idle for a good 5 minutes or so (more it the temperature is low) while I finish getting suited up, when I can blip the throttle without the engine complaining I am ready to go. I will however take at least 2/3 kilometers for the engine to fully warm up, bikes that behave like this are normally described as "Cold Blooded" My last Kawasaki a W650 had a cable operated choke the you could gradually reduce as it warmed up the Estrella seems to be all or nothing.

I get dressed before I start the engine. Then I pull the choke, start the engine and ride. Close the choke right away (usaully I don't even need the choke, but I don't use the Ella in wintertime). It's important to get the oil warm as soon as possible - and the engine has to work, in order to produce temperature.

I like your first point, Soulie. I even get dressed before I leave the house!
